October 4th. 2026 – Bernado Soler![]() Bernardo is an award winning classical guitarist. He wanted to learn how to play guitar after hearing classical guitarist Julian Bream play on classical radio. He continued to listen to classical guitarists to develop his skills. In 1989, he graduated with a Bachelor of Music majoring in Classical guitar from the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music in Manila. In 1992 he studied at the Melba Conservatorium of Music in Melbourne. Bernardo is part of a local band in Melbourne, called Solead Q. The band combines elements of traditional Spanish guitar music with Latin rhythms. As a solo guitarist, he has performed all over the Philippines, Indonesia, South America, United States of America, and Australia. Bernardo was our Guest Artist in November 2022 and we are delighted to have him back at PFC. |
| November 1st. 2026 Hat Band Night By now you are probably familiar with the HAT BAND CONCEPT. Groups will be formed randomly by drawing names out of a hat, (each with an experienced group leader/facilitator). This will happen at the October Club Night. The groups will get together to decide on songs to be played and practice during the month prior to performing on the night. It is an opportunity for less experienced singers/musicians to get to perform on stage as part of a group !! |
| December 6th. 2026 Christmas Party Eric and James van Cylenborg will perform as the guest act and there will be a blackboard concert as well. Members who wish to perform are asked to choose at least one item with a Christmas theme. Bookings for the blackboard concert can be made with Tony in the usual way – there may be spots available on the day as well but it is a bit too early to say for sure. |
To book a spot on the blackboard concert contact Tony Coffey on 0483 017 572.
*** Members $8 and Non-members $12 ***
